Hi Crushers fans!

Our first event of 2013 is upon us this Saturday, May 11th! If you’re able, please stop by and visit our Spinathon at the Grizzly House; we’ll be there all day (on the patio, being tempted by the delicious smells coming out of the kitchen), so please visit and distract us!

Huge thanks to the Grizzly House for setting the space aside on the patio, on a weekend, and for their promised donation of $1000 to the Cancer Crushers! If anyone is looking for great lunch or dinner on Saturday, I’d highly recommend getting a reservation in at the Grizzly House (if there are any left)– they not only make fantastic meals, but they’re helping us crush cancer, too!

    Cancer Crushers Jersey for 2013

Quick, before this jersey is out of reach!

    Hi Crushers Fans,

I wrote an article for The Banff Centre’s Centrepiece this week on “Being a Cancer Crusher”; check it out here!

    Crushingly yours,
    Bonnie

    Hello World!

Wendy, our gracious host with the Alberta Cancer Foundation, is working with her webteam to add the finishing touches to our Banff Cancer Crushers Donation Site; everything is live now, we’re just waiting for our Crushers to create their individual pages.

As they do, I’ll update the links to our team pages here so making a donation to your favourite Crusher will be easier than ever!

We’re thrilled to be working with the Alberta Cancer Foundation so closely, and so appreciative that they’ve set up the option for people to donate directly to the ACF through the Cancer Crushers. With your support, we really are going to be CRUSHING CANCER with the click of a button!

Check out our site here, and be sure to visit back as the Crushers update their pages!

    Hi world,

We still have 3 spaces left for people who want to join our Crushers team! This year’s goals include:

    • 20 riders commiting to personally fundraise $1000 each
    • a team goal of $40,000
    • donations to be split between the Alberta Cancer Foundation and Canmore Community Care to help local residents who are fighting cancer

It’s going to be an amazing year, and if you’re keen, feel free to join us!

    Hello Crushers Fans,

    Hello world,

The Crushers just had a great meeting to talk about a lot of things (like events soon to be posted on our events page!), but one of those things was what should our jerseys look like this year?

The team came down to 2 options. Please VOTE on which colour combo you think we should go for this year by leaving a comment with “Jersey 1″ or “Jersey 2″.

    JERSEY 1:

    Jersey1!

    Jersey!

A vision in coral and aqua, Jersey 1 is based on Pantones 7417 and 7460.

    Jersey 2:
    Jersey 2!
A vision in royal purple and cancer crushing yellow, Jersey 2 is based on Pantone 2602 and CMYK Yellow 100.

    Crushingly,

    Bonnie

A new year has come and with it new exciting ideas on how we can contribute to crushing cancer!
    .
Before we move on, though, a BIG thank you to all of our supporters in 2012. Our team crushed it at the Ride to Conquer Cancer and thanks to you were able to reach our incredible goal of raising $40,000 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
    .
What could possibly top that? We have bigger and better ideas, and will be updating our website shortly to reflect our plans for 2013. This is going to be an amazing ride!

WOW !!  Thank you so much to all the fabulous staff and management at Tony Roma’s Banff .  Tony Roma’s hosted a hugely successful fundraising silent auction for the CRUSHERS and all the staff donated all their tips to the Ride To Conquer Cancer on Saturday May 26,  during the team’s silent auction.

    .

Event results will be posted soon.
